  3. Another significant difference between a part-time worker and a full-time worker is their paycheck. Some companies pay part-time workers on an hourly basis and full-time workers on a salaried basis, making full-time a better option.
  4. Full-time employees, in most companies, are granted holidays and vacations, whereas part-time employees enjoy no such holidays.
  5. Part-time employees are usually not included from running for employer retirement plans while full-time employees receive the policy.
  6. Part-time employees are less expensive for companies to hire than full-time employees.
  7. Part-time employees can have lesser qualifications for job requirements than full-time employees.
  8. A big benefit for the company for using part-time employee is lower costs. Companies generally pay part-time workers by the hour. Hence, the company isn’t in the danger of paying them for lying around and doing nothing which helps in the case of seasonable businesses.
  9. A common downside of part-time employees is that their colleges might think of them as less than capable for the job as compared to the full-time employees. Full-time workers who rely wholly on the fixed income from the company and their benefits, generally feel a lot closer to the job than part-time workers. Because part-timers get less pay and less to no benefits, it is often a misconception that they don’t need the situation as much as their full-time counterparts. This can sometimes lead to a conflict if it’s not handled in its entirety.

This can affect relationships between the other colleagues who might look down on them. Part-timers take a longer time to gain experience, and more training will help overcome this drawback.
  11. Full-time workers are paid a minimum wage salary for their work which is usually not related to the amount of work they do. Hence, some workers take advantage of it and laze around instead of doing a job. Part-time workers do no get to gain the minimum wage, and they get paid according to the work that they do for the company, making it a little bit difficult of a job as compared to full-time workers.
  12. Full-time workers can be given more extended responsibilities since they don’t have a particular period of service as part-time employees who only have to work for a specific period.
